This App guides users through the field identification of radiata pine and the soil, root and foliage sampling processes required for the Tree Root Microbiome Programme.
The App also acts as a tool for the collection of images of the radiata pine, and necessary metadata, such as location and site conditions at the time of sampling.
To facilitate sample identification and chain of custody, the App generates unique sample ID codes and labels.
The use of this App is critical to ensuring consistency in field protocols, and is essential for sample submission to this international research programme.
